Speaker Complement
The Workingman's 4X10T features four 8 ohm, 100 watt, custom designed (Eminence)10" stamped steel frame drivers wired in a series-parallel configuration and a single LeSon TLX-1 piezo tweeter (also referred to as "ferro-electric"). The tweeter is intentionally wired out-of-phase.
Input Panel
The Workingman's 4X10T features a recessed metal input panel that includes two parallel 1/4" input/output jacks and a tweeter control switch.
Internal Crossover
The internal (passive) crossover of the Workingman's 4X10T divides the incoming signal into two frequency bands. The crossover point is 5 kHz (frequencies above 5 kHz are sent to the tweeter, frequencies below 5 kHz are sent to the 10" speakers.)
Tweeter Control Switch
The switch found in the upper right area of the cabinet's input panel is the Tweeter Control Switch. This three-position switch is used to adjust the level of high-frequency signal present at the tweeter. The normal (on) setting for this control is “FULL”. Setting the switch to the center position "-6dB" attenuates (lessens) the signal present at the tweeter by 6 decibels (or one half). Setting the switch to the (right) "OFF" position defeats the tweeter (removes the tweeter from the circuit).
Tweeter Protection Circuit
The Workingman's 4X10T does not contain a protection circuit for the tweeter.

FAQ - Workingman’s 4x10T:
Q: If I give you the serial number of my Workingman’s 4x10T, can you tell me when it was built?
A: The Workingman’s 4x10T began production in 1996, but only later model Workingman’s 4x10T’s had a date code built into the serial number. If the serial number on your cab begins with three letters, then a date of manufacture is included. The first 3 letters of the serial number are a model code (WFT = Workingman’s 4x10T), followed by a date code (0201 = built 01/02), followed by the number in the series (4021 = #4021). Earlier Workingman’s 4x10T’s had a simple four-digit serial number stamped into the crossover panel, or a four-digit serial number on a small sticker on the crossover panel.
Q: The power output rating of my amplifier is greater than the power handling capacity of my Workingman’s 4x10T. Can I still use the two models together?
A: It is possible but not recommended. Exceeding the power handling capacity of your speaker enclosure can void your warranty if any damage occurs due to overpowering.
Q: Can I use instrument cable to connect my amplifier to my Workingman’s 4x10T cabinet?
A: No. Using instrument cable to hook up your speakers can result in intermittent power loss, cause your amplifier to oscillate and damage itself and/or your speakers, and render the cable useless for any purpose. The use of a high quality speaker cable of 18 gauge or heavier is recommended for amp/speaker connections. A selection of speaker cable from various manufacturers is available at most music instrument retailers.
Q: I live in a very cold climate and need to store my speaker cab for the winter. Should I be concerned about the effect the cold may have on my cab?
A: Drastic temperature changes can affect speaker performance, so exposing your cab to very cold weather for extended periods of time is not recommended. If you must keep your cab or combo in your car's trunk or garage during extremely cold weather, make sure that you allow enough time for your speakers to return to room temperature before playing through them.
