The WorkingPro series was designed to succeed the Workingman’s Series as SWR’s midline product offering of amps, cabs and combos. This line is an update of those now mature products and is meant to ensure SWR’s dominance in this price point group for years to come.

The WorkingPro 4x10 features four 8 ohm, 100 watt, custom designed (Eminence) 10" stamped steel frame drivers wired in a series-parallel configuration and a single LeSon TLX-1 piezo tweeter (also referred to as "ferro-electric"). The tweeter is intentionally wired out-of-phase.
The WorkingPro 4x10 features a recessed metal input panel that includes two parallel Speakon input/output jacks, two 1/4" input/output jacks, and variable tweeter attenuator.
The internal (passive) crossover of the WorkingPro 4x10 divides the incoming signal into two frequency bands. The crossover point is 5 kHz (frequencies above 5 kHz are sent to the tweeter, frequencies below 5 kHz are sent to the 10" speakers.)
The knob found on the input panel of the WorkingPro 4x10 is the tweeter attenuator control. The attenuator control is used to adjust the level of high frequency signal present at the horn/tweeter. A normal setting for this control is straight up or “twelve o’clock”. Turning the knob fully counter clockwise removes the tweeter from the circuit. As you turn the knob clockwise from this position, the high frequency content is increased.

The WorkingPro 4x10 does not contain a protection circuit for the tweeter.

Q: What are the differences between WorkingPro Series speaker cabs and Professional Series speaker cabs?
- Pro Series is more expensive, WorkingPro is more affordable!
- Pro Series cabs have higher power handling (The Goliath handles 700w; the WorkingPro 4x10 handles 400w)
- Pro Series has cast-frame drivers, WorkingPro Series has stamped-frame drivers

Q: What are the differences and upgrades between the WorkingPro Series speaker cabs and the previous Workingman’s Series speaker cabs?
- The WorkingPro crossover panel contains both Speakon and 1/4" input/output jacks – Workingman’s cabs only had 1/4” inputs
- The WorkingPro cabs have a variable tweeter attenuator – the Workingman’s cabs had a three-position switch (0db, -6db, OFF) for tweeter level adjustment
- The WorkingPro cabs are dressed in black carpet with a chrome-pwoerdercoated grill – the Workingman’s had blue carpet and navy blue grills
Q: The power output rating of my amplifier is greater than the power handling capacity of my WorkingPro 4x10. Can I still use the two models together?
A: It is possible but not recommended. Exceeding the power handling capacity of your speaker enclosure can void your warranty if any damage occurs due to overpowering.
Q: Can I use instrument cable to connect my amplifier to my WorkingPro 4x10 cabinet?
A: No. Using instrument cable to hook up your speakers can result in intermittent power loss, cause your amplifier to oscillate and damage itself and/or your speakers, and render the cable useless for any purpose. The use of a high quality speaker cable of 18 gauge or heavier is recommended for amp/speaker connections. A selection of speaker cable from various manufacturers is available at most music instrument retailers.
Q: I live in a very cold climate and need to store my speaker cab for the winter. Should I be concerned about the effect the cold may have on my cab?
A: Drastic temperature changes can affect speaker performance, so exposing your cab to very cold weather for extended periods of time is not recommended. If you must keep your cab or combo in your car's trunk or garage during extremely cold weather, make sure that you allow enough time for your speakers to return to room temperature before playing through them.
